Cooking with Kids: A Sensory Experience
The kitchen is the best classroom. It teaches math, science, history, and art—all before dinner is served.
Engaging the Senses
Children learn through touch, smell, and sight. Cooking provides a rich sensory environment that helps them get comfortable with new foods before they even taste them.
Try these simple activities:
- Let them wash the vegetables (water play!)
- Have them tear herbs or lettuce leaves
- Ask them to describe what spices smell like
